The expanded 1st Division opens the 2006 season an additional 3 teams.with a total of 10 teams. The addition of the Pearson Patrots, Glenmore (II) and STAR XI will of 3 new teams to division 1 surely throws the race for the Challenger Cup wide open. With the top 2 teams moved up to the premier division the title is up for the taking for all 10 teams. In addiiton to the 4 teams kicking off opening day, 2004 champions Crescent Star get their start against Patriots on May 7th along with Cavaliers II when they hook up with Islanders. Carib will look to win their first division title in over a decade when they start the season at ICCG against Islanders. Rockies will look to build on their late season successes in 2005 when they get underway on May 20th against Glenmore (I). The Division 1 round robin will end on Aug 13th with a one month playoff slated to run until the end of September.
